Stephanie Mieras
Stephanie is responsible for the financial and marketing areas of the hospital, computer software purchase and implementation, website design and maintenance, hospital protocols, safety program implementation, inventory management, and employee management.
Stephanie is a graduate of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI with a B.S. degree in Biology. She came to Iron Mountain in 2007 and began working at Iron Mountain Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. Over time, her career evolved into being responsible for more management type tasks while at the clinic, eventually leading her to becoming the Practice Manager in 2014. She also received certification that same year to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM). Stephanie completed the Veterinary Practice Management Program from Purdue in February 2015.
In June 2016, she was recognized as a finalist for the Veterinary Manager of the Year award by the Veterinary Hospital Management Association and DVM 360. In 2019, Stephanie was selected as key thought leader to serve on the Feline Parasiticide Board for Merck Animal Health. Stephanie also serves as a Key Opinion Leader and Speaker on veterinary practice management topics for Merck Animal Health. Stephanie was also a speaker at VMX 2023, where she presented a seminar on why practitioners should move to a cloud based practice management system rather than a server based system.
When not working, Steph enjoys skating in the local roller derby league, biking, backpacking, and bikepacking. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Their family also includes a Rat Terrier named Nipper and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Fannie.
Certified Veterinary Practice ManagerKrista Jayne Krista has been a member of the Iron Mountain Animal Hospital team since 2006 after graduating with a medical office degree. She performs a wide range of functions and has become a valued client care specialist, becoming our lead CCS in the fall of 2014, and advancing to assistant office manager in the fall of 2017.
She truly values the personal connections she builds with clients and their pets, and she enjoys being an integral part of our supportive and close-knit team. Understanding the joy of welcoming a new pet or the challenges of caring for a sick one, she is committed to providing exceptional client service and compassionate patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their two daughters, Kailey and Khloe. Their family also includes their lovable bernedoodle, Dexter and sweet cat Binx.
