Many of the same health problems that affect us, including hearing loss, also affect our pets. Fortunately, most pets adapt very well to the disability with a little help from their owners.View Article

Dental X-Ray (Radiography)
We are excited to announce that we now include a full set of digital dental x-rays with every dental cleaning, on every pet. After having some wonderful on site training for our entire staff by Mary Berg, BS, LATG, RVT, VTS (Dentistry) of Beyond the Crown Veterinary Education, our staff is fully prepared to be able to offer our patients this wonderful service.
Why are dental x-rays important?
Just like in people, sometimes pets can have disease or infection below the gum line. Without a dental x-ray, we would never know about those issues. By being able to treat them, we can prevent pain in your pet, and possibly delay the time in which your pet would need another dental cleaning in the future.
This picture demonstrates three different situations in which the veterinarian would have never known there was an issue that needed to be addressed without having x-rays taken:
After each dental cleaning, patients are sent home with discharge instructions, a chart of any procedures done, before and after pictures of the mouth, and a printed copy of the dental x-rays that were taken. Digital copies of the x-rays will be provided upon request of the owner.
If you have any questions about dental x-rays, please don't hesitate to contact us!
